the sustainable process of Perla Negra

❋ sensitivity to its site
the footprint covers just 30% of the property, preserving nearly all existing trees, with only two common species removed.
❋ passive design strategies
including cross-ventilation, careful orientation, tree shade integration, and elevated structures that allow airflow while preserving the natural terrain.
❋ low-carbon material strategy
extensive use of locally sourced teak wood from plantations, helping reduce the project’s transportation carbon footprint.
❋ minimal ground impact
only 30 m² of the structure touch the ground, allowing wildlife movement and natural runoff to pass beneath.
