❋ landscape and native ecology
The garden design prioritizes ecological resilience by incorporating native species adapted to local conditions. At least three native trees were introduced, alongside drought-resistant vegetation, reducing water demand while strengthening the site's natural biodiversity.
❋ responsible material sourcing
All timber used in the project is sourced from non-endangered species, ensuring that materials are chosen with full awareness of their origin and long-term ecological impact.
❋ hydrological design
The architecture responds directly to the site’s natural hydrological patterns. A westward rainwater flow across the lot was identified and integrated into the design strategy, allowing the project to work with—rather than against—the movement of water.
❋ local material integration
The project embraces locally sourced materials, grounding the architecture in its regional context. This approach reduces environmental impact while reinforcing a sense of place through textures rooted in the local environment.
